BELGAUM FOUNDRY CLUSTER
The Belgaum Foundry Cluster received the First prize at Cluster/SPV level for their implementation of the Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme. It is estimated that by making an investment of Rs 2.2 million a savings of Rs 40 million was made by the units. Implementation of 5S techniques has enhanced safety measures. Sand consumption has reduced by 500 tonnes per month and energy savings has been around 500,000 units per month.

BALASORE CHAMBER OF INDUSTRIES & COMMERCE
BCIC received the First Prize at District Level for their initiative to promote the self-help groups and artisans through an Expo (fair). Having a humble beginning in 1994 with only 45 stalls, the Expo is now one of the largest in Odisha benefitting more than 10000 weak and marginal business enterprises. In the year 2016, the gross sale from the Expo crossed Rs 1500 million.

INTEGRATED ASSOCIATION OF MICRO SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISES OF INDIA (IamSMEofINDIA)
IamSMEofIndia received the First prize at Country/State Level for
their unique and innovative service of sale and purchase of
used & unused machinery through an online portal. The website is www.altoofaltoo.com. It facilitates MSMEs with credit arrangements, valuation, assessment, restructuring and search for such machinery through this portal.

MADRAS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRIES
The Special Jury Award 2017 was given to the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industries for their outstanding feat of promoting responsible business among their member MSMEs through the 'Sustainable Chennai Forum". The forum educates, assists and promotes a business case for managing energy, water, waste, transport, urban greening, etc. and evolve a congenial policy and action-oriented environment.

A case study publication is published every year which contains Top 15 responsible activities initiated by the BMOs for the respective year. Issue III was released on 10th February 2017 by Shri KK Jalan, the then Secretary, Ministry of MSME.
